At the end of the Services, on both Wednesdays and Sundays, the Zoom audio and video will be opened up to all who would like to connect with one another. As we do, it can feel a lot like when we interact in the Lobby after a Service. Know that, for those who choose, you can merely observe and not be seen or heard. We hope you will join us online this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (Zoom will be used after the main service on Sundays, for a time to connect and have a virtual “Coffee Hour.”)

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, join Spiritual Life Center for a Spiritual Variety Program.

Virtual Prayer Circle

In addition to the Sunday Service online, a 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays we will rotate between a Guided Meditation | Virtual Prayer Circle and a Spritual Variety Program of events.

Join us any Wednesday evening for a a program of variety of events, or guided meditation and other events.

Wednesday evenings are a wonderful opportunity to connect with one another while enjoying a variety of events.

Please join us weekly at 7:00 p.m. Instructions on how to access this virtual meeting will be communicated by email to the subscribers of the church email distribution list each Monday morning.

Points to Remember for Sunday July 12, 2020

My Way – or – A Higher Way
Whenever we face obstacles in life, we always have a choice: We can be blocked by them, be stopped in our tracks. Or, we can use them as stepping stones to a Higher Way of expressing our Divinity.

Jesus taught: “Love Your enemies,”

… because He knew the healing, harmonizing power of Love transforms and draws together. He knew that by choosing Love, we align with a Higher Will or a Higher Way of being not directed by the Victim/Victor consciousness or need for control.

Ernest Holmes writes:

“Will is the conscious, directive power of the intellect and, as such, has a very important place in the creative order, but in no case is it to be used as though it could FORCE things to happen. … using the will to influence people is a mistake. The temporary effects of [this type of] will power continue only so long as the will forces them to. They have no real life within themselves and must disintegrate as soon as the unnatural force is withdrawn.

Ryan Holiday, author of The Obstacle is the Way:

“… the will has a lot more to do with surrender than with strength. True will is quiet humility, resilience, and flexibility; the other kind of will is weakness disguised as bluster and ambition

Charles Fillmore, The Twelve Powers of Man, p 105:

“It is possible … for man so to identify his consciousness with Divine Mind that he is moved in every thought and act by that Mind. Jesus attained this unity; when He realized that He was willing not in the personal but in the divine, He said: “Not my will, but thine, be done.”

Jesus surrenders to a Higher Way, to God Within.

Choosing a Higher Way is to Surrender the All Goodness of Life. It is to Surrender the need to control, the need to overcome, and even the need to KNOW exactly what will to unfold or how it will unfold.
Surrendering is KNOWING that God Knows and that we are assured that

ALL things come together for our Good.
