Points to Remember – “Your Authentic Self Emerges – Part 3”
Our true journey in the world is to return to our point of origin, allowing the Authentic Self (Christ within) to emerge. When we are consciously living from our Authentic Selves, Seven Intrinsic Qualities will naturally shine through us and the masks will naturally fall away.
Part 1 – First Three Intrinsic Qualities shared April 18th
1. WHOLENESS: Remembering we are connected and one with the whole
2. REVERENCE: Recognizing and honoring the sacredness of all life
3. FEARLESSNESS: Facing life fearlessly knowing the authentic self knows no fear because knows no loss
Part 2 – Intrinsic Qualities 4-7 shared May 2nd
4. INTEGRITY: Living the Truth – even when no one else is watching
5. HUMILITY: Teachable, open, and receptive able to see different viewpoints, receptive to new ideas
6. EQUANIMITY: Balanced or even state of mind, being anchored in a state of mindfulness and wholeness
Part 3 – The Sweetest Final Ingredient shared May 16th
7. LOVE: The great harmonizing power of the universe, the Source of all Life in which we live and have being.
Bertrand Russell, author of “The impact of Science on Society” says: “The root of the matter is a very simple & old-fashioned thing, a thing so simple that I am almost ashamed to mention it, for fear of the derisive smile with which wise cynics will greet my words. The thing I mean – is love, Christian love. If you feel this, you have a motive for existence, a guide for action, a reason for courage.”
Christian Love is what Jesus taught, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” But it’s not just Christian!
Hinduism: “Do naught to others which, if done to thee, would cause thee pain: … Mahabharata, 5.1517
Buddhism: “Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.” Udana-Varga 5:18
Islam: “No one is a believer until he desires for his brother what he desires for himself.” 40 Hadith of an-Nawawi 13
Judiasm: “Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: …”Leviticus 19-18
Jesus expanded this teaching in Mark 12:30-31 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength… Love your neighbor as yourself.” Which of these comes first? Perhaps they are meant to be expressed simultaneously as we cannot fully express one without the other.
As offspring of Divine Love we are filters, through which love flows. We, at the level of our own consciousness, shape and direct how love manifests – and when it does or does not flow. When it does not flow, we are not expressing our authentic self and our countenance and well-being are impacted by the blockage.
Silent Unity Website Article: “Love is the greatest power in the world, but it requires continual circulation to stay strong & vital. It was designed to be expressed… If we intend to live the way God designed us to, we have to start loving everyone. To love less than this is—are you ready?—not to love God.”
Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind: “[when we] let love point the way,” … that is when we will have returned home and we will know it [our Source] deeply and powerfully for the first time.” This is when we will have placed the final piece in the puzzle of our journey to the Authentic Self.
Your Authentic Self is the direct descendant of Divine Love and that makes you the perfect delivery system for LOVE on this planet. Ultimately everyone, EVERYONE, is striving for the same picture … happiness. It is the ultimate human goal behind every action. But happiness can never come from selfish acts. It cannot come from treasures we lay up on earth, or outer conditions, or destructive actions. Those pieces don’t fit the picture of the Authentic Christ Self.
As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “… Hatred cannot drive out hatred … only LOVE can do that.” The ultimate experience of happiness comes when add this final piece of the puzzle: LOVE, the unconditional love of God, LOVE of the true self and LOVE of the Divine in all others.
