“The LIGHT of HOPE”
We mustn’t ever give up HOPE, nor lose sight of it’s activating power, faith. It may be difficult to think about HOPE when the world seems to be so out of synch with our higher ideals of peace, love and harmony. But HOPE, the LIGHT of HOPE, is the ability to affirm there is something more, something greater than ourselves at work. HOPE shifts our attention toward possibilities. Then, faith and action mold our HOPES into manifestation. In a world that seems at times to try our power of faith, HOPE leads us toward a deeper understanding of this passage from 1 Corinthians 13:13, “And now, these three remain, faith, love and HOPE.”

“The L-I-G-H-T of HOPE”
Sunday, November 29, 2020
The first Sunday of Advent, a time of preparation, centers on HOPE. Centuries of HOPE were answered by the birth of “The light of the world” And this birth of the Light continues today in our hearts and minds.
Unity Minister, Eric Butterworth described it this way: “How very long have we been groping our way through darkness & ignorance, diseased, hurting & harming, unknowing & petty, un-Christlike? But, through all of this, we have ever dreamed of our potential for good; we have held the HOPE that LIGHT would be rekindled within us. It is this cycle of rebirth of spiritual LIGHT that is the real essence of Christmas.”
Rev. Ed Townley, The Love & Light of Christmas (UWM Advent 2017. P.5) “Love and light are also spiritual energies that link our Christmas observances with Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Pancha Ganapati, and the many other spiritual celebrations focused on the precious LIGHT and mysterious shadows of the winter solstice. The stories differ, but the energy is the same … LIGHT IS synonymous with God, the 1st activity of God with the essence of Life.”
Hope is the anticipation of good, of something better. It is an inner stirring that calls us home & reminds us to let go of what is so that we can experience what is yet to be. The LIGHT of hope is the inspiration or awareness of something greater calling us home to the L-I-G-H-T which is:
Hope is the expectation of good in the future… It is subject to time. Faith is the certain knowledge that our good is ours right now… It goes beyond space and time. C. Fillmore, RW
As Paul mentions in Hebrews 11:1 “… faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
Hope causes glimpse, inspires positive change, new ways of thinking and behaving. Faith is the CONVICTION that rises above all contradictions; allowing us to live more fully in God’s Highest TRUTH, manifesting our greatest HOPES.
Yet, hope & faith & love require just a little more. They require us to live and move in the Light of this faith, to connect all the pieces and energies like a 5G Network.
5G NETWORK for Manifesting HOPE
1.GROUNDED IN FAITH: The only thing that binds us to duality, lack, and otherness is the belief that it is so; that what appears as shadow or darkness is too big. Our outlook of the world becomes more positive when assured that we have power over it through the Light of God within us.
2.GIVING: Giving is Love in Action. It is living in the awareness and assurance of the reciprocity of Spirit, without thought of how or where we will receive, giving and receiving in a great continuum of Love & Light.
3.GRATITUDE: A conscious awareness of continuous blessings lifts you above the apparent circumstance. Michael Beckwith tells us, “GRATITUDE places you in the energy field of PLENTITUDE. Glow with gratitude and see how AWE and JOY will make their home in you.” And isn’t that what you hope for?
4.GET GOING!: The catalyst for change is always action. Holding and radiating only thoughts of good is the action of Divine Love. Love Hopes all things and Love knows all things in their truest Divine form. We have to get going; stepping into our hopes as if they are already true.
5.God-centered Living or Living in the L-I-G-H-T: Living In God’s Highest Truth, which is the awareness of wholeness, enoughness, oneness, peace and harmony that supersedes all appearances to the contrary and then stepping into that higher Truth.
The Light of HOPE lies in the very heart of you as the apostle Paul said in Colossians 1:27, “CHRIST IN YOU: Your HOPE OF GLORY
AFFIRMATIONS CLAIMING OUR GREATER TRUTH
I AM THE LIGHT – I AM THE LIGHT OF HOPE – I AM THE LIGHT OF ABUNDANCE AND ENOUGHNESS – I AM THE LIGHT OF WHOLENESS – I ABIDE IN THE LIGHT – I LIVE IN GOD’S HIGHEST TRUTH.
